GCPR Winter 2026 Junior & Senior Youth Basketball Programs
Open to Boys and Girls, Grades 4-8
Take your child’s basketball journey to the next level with GCPR’s Junior and Senior Division Youth Basketball Programs! Designed for players in grades 4–8, these programs build on the fundamentals of the game while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love of competition in a fun and supportive environment.
Division Breakdown:
- Junior Division (Grades 4–5): Open to boys and girls, this division focuses on skill development while introducing more advanced concepts of the game.
- Senior Division Boys (Grades 6–8): A competitive division exclusively for boys who are ready to further develop their abilities and elevate their play.
- Senior Division Girls (Grades 6–8): Back for its second year, this division is exclusively for girls. We’re so excited to continue offering a dedicated program for middle school girls in our community!
Program Highlights:
- Skill Development: Focus on core basketball skills—dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork.
- Weekly Practices: Teams practice once a week at local schools throughout Greene County, beginning the week of December 14th.
- Weekend Games: Players showcase their skills in weekend matchups against other teams.
- End-of-Season Tournament: The season concludes with a single-elimination tournament to crown the division champions.
- Skill Assessments: Conducted prior to the season to ensure evenly matched teams across all divisions.
Roster & Scheduling Details:
- Roster Requests: Only honored for siblings, family members in the same household, and children of Head/Assistant coaches.
- Practice Availability: Please share any practice night limitations with GCPR at the time of registration.

- Deadline to Register: November 10th
- Season Dates: January 3 – February 21
- Game Location: WMMS Gymnasium
- Fee: $80 per participant
